Message from the President/CEO

Dear Member-Owner,

I’ve talked before about the importance of our Core Values driving business and service level decisions to improve your credit union. Our value to Give Back has been exemplified this year with an increased return to Member-Owners in the form of higher savings dividends and fee reductions as well as increased investment with community partners. Here are some recent examples of your credit union giving back, to Member-Owners and our local communities:
  • We’ve increased the value of our Certificate and Money Market accounts by steadily raising savings rates over the last few months. We continue to offer some of the most competitive rates without complicated requirements or having to jump through a bunch of hoops. Just everyday great rates to make it easy to earn more on your hard-earned savings.
  • Nobody likes being charged to access their money which is why we eliminated our Overdraft Transfer Fee and Foreign ATM Fee, earlier this year. We also got rid of the minimum balance fee for our Money Market accounts.
  • We continue to fund the Ventura County Library Foundation (VCLF) Bookmobile project to support literacy in Ventura County. The goal of this project is to spark a love of books in children, increase literacy, and bring reading material to senior citizens and others who are unable to visit local libraries. Scheduled to hit the road in 2019, the high tech bookmobile will also bring STEM activities, such as computer coding and engineering, to children in underserved areas.
It seems like our efforts are being recognized. For the second year in a row, Premier America was awarded with a Los Angeles Daily News Readers Choice Award, this time (drum roll please) for BEST CREDIT UNION! This award is truly yours as it’s the voice of Member-Owners, like you, that has shaped the value of the products and services we offer and inspired us to do all we can to give back.
