Beginning September 2nd, we will be changing the way you send money to friends, family, and those you know and trust by replacing Popmoney® with Zelle®.1 With Zelle you can easily split the cost of a bill, request money for a group gift, or pay back your roommate for your share of the rent. Why is Premier America replacing Popmoney with Zelle®?
Premier America is replacing Popmoney with Zelle to provide you with a fast and easy way to send money to friends, family, and others you trust who have a bank account in the U.S. With Zelle, you can now send and receive money, typically within minutes.1  Money can be sent using just a recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number. Best of all, Zelle is free to Premier America members.
 
When will my Popmoney account be disabled?
Your Popmoney account will no longer be available as of Monday, August 16th.
 
Will I need to re-enter my Popmoney contacts or account information from other financial institutions into Zelle®?
Yes you will need to enter your contacts into Zelle. Your scheduled Popmoney payments, contacts and payments history will not carry over to the new Zelle digital payments service.
 
Will my Popmoney payment history be available to review in Zelle®?
Popmoney payment history will not be available in Zelle. We encourage users to export their payment history from Popmoney by August 15th. Simply select the “Download” option on the “Activity” tab export your transactions.
 
What happens if I receive Popmoney payments?
The transaction cannot be processed after August 23rd and your funds cannot be received because the Popmoney system isn’t available. 
 
What happens to my future dated one time and recurring pending payments scheduled in Popmoney?
Future dated payments will still be sent within Premier America’s online banking platform as long as it processes by August 23rd.
 
 What should I do to be ready for the discontinuation?
  • Notify your Popmoney contacts that you will no longer be using the Popmoney service and arrange an alternate method of payment.
  • If you receive Popmoney payments directly, please notify the sender/s that the service will be discontinued as of August 23rd and arrange an alternate method of payment.
  • Export your payment history from Popmoney by August 15th. Simply select the “Download” option on the “Activity” tab. Your Popmoney payment history will not be available after August 15th.
