We're excited to invite you to our free Community Shred Day at the Chatsworth Branch!

This event is open to everyone—members and non-members alike—and offers a secure and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents.

 
 Location: 19867 Prairie St, Chatsworth, CA 91311

 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (or until trucks are full)

 Format: Drive-through service; remain in your vehicle while our team assists with unloading documents for shredding.​

What to Bring:

• Office paper
• File folders
• No need to remove staples, paper clips, or rubber bands​

What Not to Bring:

• Cardboard, plastic items, or general trash 
• Hazardous materials
• CDs, DVDs, magnetic media, or x-rays
• Computers and electronic accessories​
• Limit Per Vehicle: Please bring no more than three banker-sized boxes (15”x12”x10”) or one large trash bag of paper per car.​

How It Works:

• Label boxes/bags with "SHRED"
• Drive up and stay in your vehicle
• When instructed, pop your trunk or hatch
• Our team will safely unload your shred items
• We'll return your empty containers, and you'll be on your way!​

Important Notes: We’re unable to shred or dispose of cardboard boxes and plastic/paper bags used to transport items.

*This event may end early if the shred truck fills up before 2:00 PM.​*

Directions for Participants:

1. Please enter through the west parking lot entrance on Prairie Street and follow directions from our team members.
2. When prompted, pop your trunk or hatch—we’ll unload any bags or boxes labeled “SHRED.”
3. Shredding items will be securely placed into vendor bins. Empty containers will be returned to your trunk.
4. Continue following the traffic flow and exit via the east parking lot on Prairie Street.
